Job Description
Grow your career with a global retailer as an Executive Manager within our Sustainability team at ALDI Australia, based in Minchinbury. This is a full-time permanent position.
In this role, you will join a passionate team that supports ALDI's commitment to a more sustainable future. Our Sustainability team works diligently across the breadth of our operations, setting sustainability commitments and policies in critical areas such as human rights, responsible sourcing, plastics and packaging, waste and carbon, health, and community.
The magnitude of our efforts extends beyond merely setting targets; we also bear the responsibility for reporting on all ALDI’s sustainability commitments to both the Australian and International business sectors. What does the role look like?
- Oversee and manage the governance and reporting functions of ALDI’s sustainability framework, including providing reporting and data solutions to internal stakeholders, and preparing reporting for external publication and benchmarking.
- Produce, collate and disseminate National and International Sustainability Committee materials
- Provide submissions to the National Sustainability Committee regarding updates on reporting requirements, status and implementation of Global Sustainability Strategy
- Provide committee and strategy guidance to National Sustainability Committee members
- Collaborate with international and national project teams to deliver IT solutions that operationalise ALDI’s sustainability strategy, collect and maintain sustainability data, and support sustainability reporting
- Support the Director - National Sustainability and assist in making and implementing necessary decisions
Qualifications
What do we need from you?
- Demonstrated experience working in a leadership position, and the ability to coach and develop employees for success
- Experience in developing and implementing governance and reporting initiatives, and in establishing, managing, and reporting on strategy performance
- Demonstrated ability to interpret frameworks, standards, and regulations to facilitate reporting, benchmarking and process design.
- Experience working with national and international project teams to support the delivery of large-scale IT solutions
- Experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements
- Data driven with strong analytical skills to prepare business cases and provide recommendations on initiatives
- Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills including ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders, including local and international project teams, and senior management
- High attention to detail and accuracy
