Job Description

Grow your career with a global retailer as a Safety Coordinator (Injury Management) within our Work, Health, and Safety team at ALDI Australia, based in Regency Park. 

In this role, you will join a team that stands as the cornerstone of ALDI's commitment to safety. Our Workplace Safety and Health team does more than just abide by rules and regulations; we create them, prioritising the well-being of our employees above all else. Our responsibilities range from developing and implementing health and safety policies to identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring that our workers operate in a safe, healthy environment each and every day.

What does the role look like? 

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of non-work related, work-related and workers compensation claims in accordance with relevant legislation, ALDI policies and best practice to minimise premium impact and business risk
  • Promote, support and execute ALDI’s early intervention program
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development on injury management policies and best practice
  • Coordinate and provide guidance on injury management activities including liaising, consulting, and meeting with relevant stakeholders to support injured worker’s recovery at work as required
  • Actively manage your area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving process and performance as required
  • Maintain confidential, accurate and concurrent injury management records and file correspondence at all times
  • Provide implementation support for projects and managing ongoing business as usual (BAU)
  • Ensure ALDI is compliant with all current legislative obligations and engaging in best practice injury management

Qualifications

What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in injury management managing multiple files.
  • Knowledge of injury management, rehabilitation and recovery best practice.
  • Experience with Injury Management Systems. Previous experience with Solv Injury and/or Safety Online is highly regarded.
  • Open communication style with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and with direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team focussing on problem-solving and solutions.
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intermediate-Advanced Excel and Microsoft office skills.
  • Sound knowledge of SA Workers Compensation legislation, standards and best practice, highly regarded.
  • Allied health professional qualifications highly regarded.
  • Work, health and safety experience, or a willingness to learn, highly regarded.
