At ALDI, the IT Country Deployment team is working on an exciting Global Transformation Project and are looking for 2 Data Migration Specialist to join on a 24-month fixed-term contract.

As our Data Migration Specialist, you will work alongside the Business and IT Project Deployment Leads providing guidance and support to project teams. In this role, you will ensure all relevant teams follow the deployment approach, achieve the key project milestones and meet project deployment timelines.  Working on a large International Project, you will also liaise with stakeholders across the Business and IT departments operating out of Australia, Europe and build relationships with peers in the UK and US.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, stakeholder management skills, and keen eye for detail as well as adapt and flourish in a changing and fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating data migration activities across multiple national teams
  • Supporting and finalising data migration approach for local Australian business team in line with Central Data Migration Team
  • Coordinating and aligning with local and global data owners, legacy and other related workstreams involved in data migration activities
  • Advising local teams on best practices, processes and standards for data migration activities as provided by the Central Migration Team
  • Coordinating and aligning with project leads to scope data migration requirements
  • Performing analysis on system data extracted from current source systems
  • Reporting to project leads on the status of data cleansing activities and areas for improvement
  • Supporting and leading trial migration activities and validation activities post go-live

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in managing projects with data migration management requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of business
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; engaging stakeholders from both Business and IT backgrounds
  • Experience in data analytics and working knowledge of local IT data structure and information
  • A thorough understanding of database systems and software
  • Experience in report building and data extraction methodologies required
  • Methodical and logical approach to planning and organisation
  • Proven demonstration of accuracy in work and attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated, reliable and excellent problem solving capabilities,
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively priortise and execute tasks whilst under pressure
  • Willingness to travel as required

*Includes superannuation and varies depending on ALDI experience.
